Max Verstappen had a strong sprint race yesterday and also Formula 1 journalist and connoisseur Peter Windsor acknowledges the good performance of Red Bull Racing and the Dutchman. On his YouTube channel, he looks ahead to today's race.

"The Honda engine got Verstappen into the lead before they got into turn one. Hamilton could do very little about it, even though Red Bull have put on more front wing, which you are allowed to do even though the car is basically in Parc Fermé. The one thing you can still do is adjust the front wing," Windsor explained.

"There was quite a big difference in top speed, noticeable down hanger straight. Probably five/six kilometres an hour between the Mercedes and The Red Bull."

Red Bull understeer problem solved

Windsor continues: "More worrying for Mercedes is that Red Bull appear to have got around that understeer problem. Red Bull know they got a race car anyway. Yesterday this time it looked as if Mercedes had a big advantage, but now they’ve just by the simple thing of a front wing, they have managed to get quite a lot of that back."

According to Windsor, in the race, it depends on safety cars and other things who will be dominant. If Hamilton can get past Verstappen with a good start, he will be able to set the pace. If he stays behind, he might have to push the tyres too much.
