Perez also blames Hamilton: 'It was over the limit'

A bad weekend for Sergio Perez. After dropping out of the race, the Red Bull Racing driver had to start from the back of the grid and finished in sixteenth place. The only upside is that he managed to snatch a point from Lewis Hamilton by setting the fastest lap.
Bad day for the team
In front of the cameras of Ziggo Sport, Perez confirmed his difficult weekend. "It was difficult today. This was a bad day for the team, and actually, the whole weekend didn't go so well. I want to come back strong next race." The next race on the programme is Hungary, which the Mexican is very much looking forward to. "We need to get back to fighting for the positions we normally fight for."
Crash of Verstappen
Perez also reacted to Verstappen's hard crash. "I saw the incident and I'm glad Max is okay, that's the most important thing today." He points to Hamilton as the culprit in the incident, as does the race committee. "I think it was too much over the limit, they were fighting very close."
Verstappen gave enough space to Hamilton, Perez believes. "Very unfortunate, because it was an incident at very high speed. Again, the important thing is that Max is okay." Verstappen was transferred to a local hospital just to be on the safe side but is doing well under the circumstances.
