Horner: 'Never seen so much support for one driver'

Christian Horner is over the moon with the victory of Max Verstappen. According to Horner, the Dutchman had a lot of pressure on his shoulders, but he managed to keep his cool and win the race ahead of Lewis Hamilton.
Horner saw Red Bull working hard
"Max delivered today. There was so much pressure on that boy. I've never heard so much noise and seen so much support for one driver. I think as a team it was very important to keep the focus. It was like a festival from the moment we got here. The mechanics stayed focused on their work," Horner told Ziggo Sport.
"They delivered 100%," Horner says of the mechanics and engineers. "It was strategically very difficult because Mercedes was short and aggressive with Lewis with one car and they opted for the one-stop with Valtteri [Bottas]. It was crucial for Max to get past him and he didn't waste any time."
Verstappen did everything right
Verstappen had one of his best days in Formula 1 according to Horner. "He had the pace in the car. I think we were about two tenths faster than Lewis. He could use that. The moment Lewis started to push, he was able to react. He worked with the pit wall and his engineer."
