Fernando Alonso believes that not all Formula 1 drivers are treated equally by the stewards and the FIA

In the first round of the Russian Grand Prix, the Spaniard chose an alternative route by driving over the exit lane at Turn 2. No action was taken by the stewards, but Alonso was criticised for not losing a few places.

Alonso feels stewards are biased

The subject is raised again during the press conference before the Turkish Grand Prix, to which Alonso responds somewhat annoyed. "I wanted to prove that people react differently when I do certain things. Then the next race there is another sanction," said the Alpine driver to Motorsport.com.

"More often than not this season I have been the idiot who kept driving on the track while being overtaken by people who went outside the track," he explains. "After both races in Austria, nothing happened, no questions were asked. Now, after Sochi, suddenly questions are being asked. For me that's confirmation: different rules apply to different people."
