Horner explains Red Bull decision: "Hairline crack found in car Verstappen"

Max Verstappen will start the United States Grand Prix with a new rear wing. The team discovered a crack in the part, which is suspected to have been caused by the bumps in the asphalt. Red Bull team principal Christian Horner insists it is just a precautionary measure.
"One of the mechanics found a hairline crack, so we're taking no chances and replacing the part," Horner explained to Sky Sports.
"It probably wouldn't have been a problem, but you can see that the cars are having a hard time here. The mechanic had seen it right."
Red Bull optimistic about chances in Austin
The Red Bull Racing team boss is satisfied with what Verstappen and Sergio Perez have shown so far in Austin.
"For the first run on the first set of tires, it's encouraging. We don't know what engine power our opponents are running with, but both drivers seem reasonably happy with the balance of their car so far," said the Brit.
Verstappen didn't play a starring role on Friday, but that seemed to be mainly because he kept running into traffic.
