Perez questions Mercedes: 'What are they doing on the straight?'

Sergio Perez had to limit the damage in the Brazilian Grand Prix. He was on the podium, but a well-timed pit stop by Valtteri Bottas meant he lost his third place. The speed of his rivals on the straight raises questions for the Mexican.
"He seemed like he was from another planet today. I tried my best, but couldn't do anything," Perez began in his conversation with Ziggo. "With Bottas, I just had a huge amount of bad luck." With that he refers to the pit stops, with which Bottas managed to win a place because he was the only one to stop during the virtual safety car.
Perez does not understand speed Mercedes
He continued: "He was extremely lucky with that pit stop during the virtual safety car. It gave him five seconds on us. It's a shame we didn't make the podium, but with the fastest lap we still got an important point."
"Now we look ahead to Qatar," the Mexican looked ahead to next week. "I don't know what they are doing on the straight, but they were flying today. Hopefully, we can be competitive in Qatar," the Mexican concluded.
