Alexander Albon returned to Formula 1 at Williams at the start of the season. With six Grands Prix to go, the British formation scored six points, all of which came to Albon's name. The Thai is hopeful that Williams will make great strides in the coming years.

In the 1980s and 1990s, Williams, founded in 1977 by Frank Williams and Patrick Head, was a very successful team. At the time, the racing team managed to win no fewer than nine constructors' championships and seven world titles.

Since 2018, however, things have been going quite downhill for Williams. While it managed to score 23 points last season, this year it will thus not get beyond six points for the time being. Despite this, Albon decided to extend his contract with the team as he is confident about Williams' future.

"I see a great future for Williams with the investments made. Just considering the mentality within the team and the focus on the future," Albon let Formulapassion.it know. The Thai stressed to be happy with Williams. "It gave me the chance to return to Formula 1. I must say I am extremely grateful to them for that."
