Alexander Albon made his debut for
Red Bull Racing at the
Spa-Francorchamps circuit last season. The Thai made an immediate impression by catching up in a great race in which he climbed from 17th place on the grid to fifth place. Verstappen said at the press conference that he was happy with the feedback from his team mate.
Change of engineers
Albon is positive about this year despite the amount of criticism he has received after Spain. His new race engineer Simon Rennie is helping a lot.
"Simon Rennie has a lot of experience and has worked with several drivers. It's going well", Albon said during the
FIA press conference prior to the Belgian
Formula 1.com Grand Prix.
Collaboration with Verstappen
Verstappen appreciates the cooperation with his team mate: "We work well together, maybe a driver with more experience knows a little more, but the feedback Albon gives is just good", says Verstappen.
Pirelli has brought soft tyres for Belgium, something Albon is very happy with.
"The softer the better", the 24-year old driver concludes.
