Ever since last weekend, Fernando Alonso has become the driver who has driven the longest distance in F1-history, AS reports, passing Michael Schumacher during the Austrian Grand Prix in Spielberg.
Alonso had a very good outing at the Red Bull Ring, finishing in eighth after starting from the pit in his McLaren. The newly crowned Le Mans winner has been struggling for points in the last few races, as this was the first time since his home Grand Prix in Spain that he's put points on the board.
Nevertheless, this record of his might be something for him to be proud of. Any F1-related chart that has you ranked above Michael Schumacher is a good thing, let's just say that.
In the list of most kilometres driven in the F1, we find three other current drivers apart from Alonso.
Kimi Raikkonen sits in sixth place, leading Lewis Hamilton in seventh and Sebastian Vettel in eighth.
