Fernando Alonso has confirmed he will race in the Daytona 24 hours next year. He will partner up with Wayne Tylor Racing Cadillac who won the event and championship in 2017.
Alonso entered the race in 2018 but was unsuccessful in his challenge. This time, he will be driving alongside Jordan Taylor, Renger van der Zande and former
Formula 1 driver Kamui Kobayashi.
Alonso has completed two-thirds of the motorsport Triple Crown, but should he win the Daytona race, he'll also be two-thirds of the way to completing the endurance racing Triple Crown. Having won Le Mans, he'll just need to win the Sebring 12 hours to achieve this feat.
