The former boss at Manor Formula 1 team John Booth will leave his role as director of racing at Toro Rosso. He joined Toro Rosso from Manor after the team was declared bankrupt and moved into an LMP1 programme.
Speaking to Motorsport.com, Booth said that his role had come to an end naturally and he will leave the team at his own accord.
"Let me put it this way: My involvement with Toro Rosso came to a natural end. Maybe I look too old for Formula 1 now. Is that enough?"
"Let's explain it this way: At my age, you get tired of all these flights and hotels and so on.
"On the other hand I like to travel privately... I might even go back to Japan sometime."
Toro Rosso joined forces with Honda for the 2018 season with Red Bull watching results closely. The highlight for the team so this season was Pierre Gasly's excellent fourth place in Bahrain.
