Bottas hard on himself despite podium: "Was making a lot of mistakes"

Championship leader Valtteri Bottas finished in third place and remains the leader in the title race, but the Finn was hard on himself as he admitted to making several mistakes during the Bahrain Grand Prix.

The extra point for fastest lap Bottas earned in Australia two weeks ago is now the difference in the standings between himself and Lewis Hamilton, as the Brit takes his first Bahrain win since 2015.

Bottas overtook Hamilton at the start of the race, but eventually got overtaken again and finished the race behind the reigning champion.

"It was a difficult race for me," Bottas told Martin Brundle post-race.
