Ross Brawn has deemed it naïve to think that Monaco races will have lots of overtaking, as the street circuit is way too narrow for any overtaking to be done.
Brawn argues that Monaco is a unique circuit and that expectations should therefore be altered.
"I heard from multiple drivers and other involved people that the race was boring," he wrote.
"Indeed, it was a race where not much was happening, mainly because of the situation around the tyres.
"On the other hand, I think it's naïve to think that you'll see much overtaking in Monaco and drivers fighting with each other.
"It's a completely different circuit than the rest of the tracks, which is why I think that you can't expect the same thing as for elsewhere.
"You can't judge Monaco on the same parameters."
Liberty Media wants to get more street races on the F1-calendar. The concept of the Miami-circuit has a lot of straights, which should increase overtaking, like it does in Baku.
