Carlos Sainz had a big accident at the start of Q3 at the Marina Bay Street Circuit in Singapore. The Spaniard went backwards into the barrier at the final corner after a big slide. Sainz was beginning his flying lap when he crashed. Luckily, Sainz emerged from the car unharmed, but the rear of his SF-24 was heavily damaged by the incident. Max Verstappen's lap time was also deleted as he crossed the line just after Sainz crashed. The Dutchman argued that he slowed sufficiently at the end of the lap, however.
