Nyck de Vries and
Kevin Magnussen will have to start the
Austrian Grand Prix from the pit lane, the
FIA reports
. Magnussen has to start there because of set-up modifications. The Dutchman had the rear wing and beam wing fitted and thus broke the parc fermé rules.
De Vries and Magnussen
The AlphaTauri driver and the Haas driver would start from 19th and 20th places, so little changes for the starting position of the other 18 drivers. Besides the wings, adjustments have been made to the suspension of De Vries' car.
Helmut Marko has said that De Vries must start performing better, otherwise he should fear for his seat in
Formula 1. The 28-year-old driver has not yet managed to score any points in motorsport's premier class this season but is obviously hoping for the best this weekend. Then you can't really use a start from the pit lane.
