A lot has been said about Sergio Perez in recent months and weeks. Max Verstappen's teammate at Red Bull Racing has signed a new contract this season, but the Mexican still does not seem to be performing well on the track. Not just any decision, as it could be the end of Perez's time driving a Red Bull car. The 81-year-old Austrian explained in Hungary that the team will meet this upcoming Monday after the race at Spa-Francorchamps to discuss the subject of Perez. A decision looks set to be made tomorrow on whether Perez can stay in the RB20 for the rest of the season, or whether he will be thrown out of the team.

In Belgium, Perez started from P2 after having some difficult qualifying sessions before. Verstappen had received a 10-place grid penalty, forcing him to start from P11 after a P1 qualifying. Perez was also overtaken by the Dutchman during the race. The driver from Guadalajara finished in P7 after George Russell's disqualification.
