Lewis Hamilton will start from eleventh on the grid, but it remains to be seen if
Max Verstappen will be able to take advantage of this in the
Turkish Grand Prix.
Red Bull Racing is proving very strong in the rain at
Istanbul Park, so there may be some opportunities for the Dutchman.
At a rainy
Istanbul Park, the same picture looms as in 2020. All drivers struggled with the extremely slippery tarmac last year, but there were some standouts.
Ferrari did very well, but Verstappen was working on a strong weekend as well. However, a mistake with his front wing set-up meant he was unable to convert that into a good result in the race.
Chances for Verstappen in the rain
In dry conditions it is Mercedes that dominates; the same as last year. The German team, however, seems to struggle on a wet track, which Red Bull does well on. The weather could well play a major role in the
Turkish Grand Prix.
Verstappen will certainly be helped by some rain, but will it help him to victory? Or will it be a Mercedes party anyway and will Red Bull have to limit the damage?
