The
Silverstone track has been resurfaced since the race last year, but the bumps left behind have caused difficulty for the drivers.
Sebastian Vettel hinted they might have caused his neck injury which almost forced him to sit out of qualifying.
Valtteri Bottas labelled the track as the bumpiest on the calendar. He was speaking in an interview on onestop strategy.
"The big bumps are gone, but there's a lot of new ones now. There is no bumpier track on the calendar than Silverstone," Bottas said.
Vettel then went on to suggest the bumps might have given him a pain in the neck. But he knows he will be fine during the race.
"The speed is less than in quali because you have more fuel and we're a bit slower so it's going to be ok. Maybe it's the stewards' fault from last week. I was looking in the mirrors too intensely," the German joked.
"I don't know. Maybe I hit a bump."
It's an issue that can't be fixed straight away. Perhaps the resurfacers have more work to do during the winter.
