With a record twenty-four race weekends, the 2024 F1 calendar is overcrowded. This large number of races requires even more effort from teams and drivers and has led to discussions on several occasions. F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has revealed that the calendars will not become even fuller in the future. In an interview with FormulaHU, the top executive indicated that twenty-four Grands Prix is really the maximum.

Despite increasing interest from several countries, Formula 1 is sticking to a maximum of twenty-four race weekends. "Interested countries are still reporting, but there will be no more than 24 races on the calendar," Domenicali indicated. However, according to the Italian, there are options to shift between different venues. For example, he sees advantages in alternating between different venues.

"We will rotate with certain venues, which gives us the opportunity to increase the quality of the races. The focus is of course mainly on the racing itself, but we want to offer more and more to the visitors of a Grand Prix, so they can enjoy an incredible experience for a whole day," the Formula 1 CEO said. Exactly which venues Domenicali is thinking of, he left open. However, there are rumours of a possible rotation between a Grand Prix in Barcelona and Madrid.
