The
Formula 1 organisation is going to be tougher on fans who take stuff from the circuit during Grand Prix weekends. Among other things, there will be stricter control with increased camera surveillance.
It is not new that fans present at F1 circuits often take stuff with them. Billboards and other signage along the track are often detached and taken home. During the
British Grand Prix and the
Austrian Grand Prix it happened again.
On the footage, you could see how many fans walked over the circuit with signs in their hands. According to the organisation, this is not acceptable. The sport will therefore take stronger action against fans who steal things from the circuit.

De Telegraaf announces that several sources around the F1 top report that from the
French Grand Prix onwards, there will be stricter checks on whether spectators are abiding by the rules. From the next race onwards, there will be stricter camera surveillance and a no-nonsense policy. Fans who do bring stuff from the circuit will be prosecuted by the local authorities.
