Red Bull Racing driver Yuki Tsunoda knows that he is still "learning" but is "demanding more" from himself as he "still gets to grips" with the tricky RB21.

The Japanese driver took his first points at the Austrian team after just his second race, finding his feet far more easily than Liam Lawson did before his demotion back down to sister team Racing Bulls, which allowed Tsunoda to race at Red Bull.

His first race in front of his home fans at the Japanese Grand Prix couldn't see him make the points, but he made his way into the top ten a week later at the Bahrain Grand Prix with a P9 finish.

Tsunoda "learning every day" as he travels to Saudi Arabia

Now, as Formula 1 arrives for the third race of its first triple-header of the season at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Tsunoda wants to see even more from himself around the Jeddah Corniche Circuit

"I was very pleased to get my first points as an Oracle Red Bull Racing driver in Bahrain," the Japanese driver explained.

"I’m still getting to grips with the car, and we managed to overcome some difficult practice sessions to recover well and get some good pace and performance from the car. Obviously, I want to do better, and I will be demanding more of myself in the coming weeks as I settle into the Team."

There is a lot of expectation from Tsunoda himself as he takes to the Middle East this weekend, and he hopes Red Bull can turn around their struggles from Bahrain to see him move up the grid.

"As a Team, we want to be better too and be competing a lot higher up the grid; it’s a group effort to do that. I get so much more input and choice when it comes to set-up, and I am learning every day with my engineers.

"My aim for Saudi is to secure a good qualifying result; it’s another very different circuit and has its own challenges with tight walls and a tricky surface. We’ll look to get the car in a good window, and I’ll do my best to deliver a good result for the Team," concluded Tsunoda.
