It looks like the
French Grand Prix will end in tears for
Ferrari once again.
Charles Leclerc crashed into the wall after 18 laps, ending his own race.
Carlos Sainz, meanwhile, received a five-second time penalty.
Ferrari seemed to be on the right track. Leclerc managed to hold off
Max Verstappen in the opening laps of the race, after which the Dutchman made an early pit stop. However, the Monegasque takes home zero points for his crash and Verstappen now lies in the lead.
Sainz receives penalty from stewards
Sainz is looking fast at Paul Ricard. The Spaniard had to start from P19 after his grid penalties and already managed to make a lot of overtakes. He is now on P5 behind
George Russell, but Sainz has received a five-second time penalty for an unsafe release in the pit lane.
