With the final result of the
British Grand Prix, a team like
Ferrari can never be satisfied. Ninth and 10th were the Italians, far from the podium. But fans can already hope for better times ahead. A package of updates is coming soon, basically before the
Belgian Grand Prix, the Italian
Gazzetta reports.
The Spa-Francorchamps circuit is among the longest on the
F1 calendar, and a circuit for high speeds. According to the pink newspaper, tyre management is important there, while good top speed is also needed. That is why
Ferrari is introducing low-downforce aerodynamic package in Belgium, according to the pink newspaper. Another update of this package would come later this season at Monza.
The
Gazzetta cites sources who report that the engineers at Maranello still see quite a lot of untapped potential in the car. Ten per cent more performance could reportedly be extracted from it. But, the newspaper says, it is not going to be possible to close the gap to
Red Bull Racing with the SF-23. Nevertheless, Ferrari hopes to narrow the gap to the leader with the updates that continue to follow in the coming weeks.
In any case, the newspaper says it is confident that Ferrari will perform better in Belgium. For Hungary, too, the
Gazzetta expects Ferrari to be able to come up reasonably well, as the circuit should suit the Italian team.
