The
FIA's competition management will have their hands full on Saturday in
Imola. Track limits, maximum speeds and engine changes meant that a lot of administration had to be dealt with. Here are the most important points.
Prior to the training at
Imola, the
FIA already announced which drivers will have new engine parts at their disposal this weekend. Both
Esteban Ocon and
Nicholas Latifi replaced the entire engine. They will not be penalised for this, because the switch is still within the regulations.

In practice, there was then a fine for both
Carlos Sainz and
Sergio Perez for speeding in the pit lane. The maximum speed there is 80 kilometres per hour. Perez drove no less than 89 and Sainz even 94 km/h.
McLaren and
Racing Point will be fined 1000 euros.
Finally, for the second weekend in a row, the FIA had their hands full with the enforcement of the track limits. The situation is less serious than in
Portimao, but in an hour and a half of practice more than 60 lap times were reduced. Turn nine (Piratella) and turn fifteen (Variante Alta) were the culprits.
