The stewards handed out time penalties to Yuki Tsunoda and Kevin Magnussen after the race. Sergio Perez was also given a time penalty, but that verdict was already given during the Dutch Grand Prix.

Tsunoda received a five-second penalty and two penalty points for causing a collision with George Russell. The stewards ruled that Russell was ahead of the AlphaTauri driver at the braking point, but Tsunoda braked later and understeered against the Mercedes driver. The Japanese driver dropped to 15th place as a result.

Kevin Magnussen was also handed a five-second time penalty. The Haas driver was blamed for not staying within ten car lengths of the car in front of him during the safety car period during the Formula 1 race at Zandvoort.
