Two-time world champion Emerson Fittipaldi applauds the fight between Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc. According to him, the two drivers are showing "the art of driving" in their battle on the track.

After an intense battle on the track in Bahrain, Verstappen and Leclerc were once again matched at the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix. The two rivals battled for victory in a DRS duel that the Dutchman eventually managed to win.

"I love to watch because they are driving on the limit but still respecting each others’ space," Fittipaldi says on F1TV. "They were right on the edge, some times they are locking wheels, nearly, right on the limit – it is great to see. That is called the art of driving.”

F1 improving with new rules

After two races, it seems that following other cars around the track has become easier, so we are seeing more overtaking at the front and in the midfield. Fittipaldi believes that Formula 1 has improved thanks to the arrival of the new regulations.

"I think it is a great show, great race. Everyone in the grandstands was standing up to see who is going to win. That is what the sport needed. I like the new rules, I like the way Formula 1 is going," says the Brazilian.
