Formula 1 does not want to make any statements about the Russian Grand Prix for the time being. In a statement, the organization says that they are keeping an eye on the situation between Russia and Ukraine.

Tensions between Ukraine and Russia have been running high. On Thursday morning, Russia reportedly invaded the neighboring country causing air alarms to go off in several Ukrainian cities. Russia speaks of a peacekeeping mission in the country, but that is not the West's view.

September 25 is the supposed date for the Russian Grand Prix. Although that is still very far away, it is not crazy to already look at whether F1 should want to go to such a country. In a statement, Formula 1 says that it does not want to make any statements about that right now, but it is monitoring the situation.

Nikita Mazepin also reacted to the situation. The Russian himself hopes to be able to race in his own country later this year and understood from Formula 1 that it can continue for the time being. However, if nations want to impose sanctions, you wonder if a major media circus like F1 will still want to travel to Russia.

There is NOTHING to monitor! Take a stand, dump the Russian GP and the Oligarch who sponsors the Haas Russian Flag car.

Haas: Dump Nikita not based on his father but on his horrible performance, there are better drivers in F2. (Maybe Andretti should take them over?)

Russia should be banned for invading a country without consent of the government.
Are they crazy there for actually monitoring it?

FIA and B. Ecclestone did an amoral, inhuman job when they sanction F1 races in Russia when Russia occupied part of Georgia, after Russia backed animal Assad, after Russia occupied Crimea - part of Ukraine. Now Russia invaded a whole Ukraine. This is not ONLY POLITIC. this is a life and future of whole nations! FIA and Formula 1,STOP being amoral and inhuman. Ditch Russian GP now.
Haas F1 team - have a conscience, remove the Russian flag from your cars! It's inhuman. Revisit history and look at the flag of the old Russian Empire at the beginning of the 20th century. This is the same imperialist flag. Haas F1 team, your acting is disgusting.
