Formula 2 have announced they will retire the racing number of the late Anthoine Hubert, who suffered a fatal crash at the start of the Feature Race at Spa Francorchamps last season, as his number 19 was not on the F2's entry list for 2020.
Unlike Formula 1, F2 drivers do not have free choice of their racing numbers. Number 19 was already retired for the rest of 2019 after Hubert's death.
Tatiana Calderon, who was teammates with Hubert in 2019 at Arden, honoured the Frenchman at the 24 Hours of Daytona, where she's running for the all-female outfit GEAR Racing.
Prema Racing would have the number 18 and 19 in 2020 on the F2 grid but skipped passed both numbers, running with 20 and 21 this year.
