There are doubts at
Red Bull Racing about the legality of Mercedes and
McLaren's front wings.
Ferrari team principal
Frederic Vasseur was asked about the situation in front of
GPblog in Monza, where he gave his opinion on the matter.
It happens more often that other teams look at each other to see if there is an illegal part on their rivals' car. Should that be the case, the
FIA can make a decision what happens to that part.
Doubts over front wings of Mercedes and McLaren?
Helmut Marko and
Christian Horner have made clear their doubts about the legality of
McLaren and Mercedes' front wings. Does Vasseur agree with them?
"This is the discussion that I don't want to have with you. I will have it on a different basis. But we have to respect the decision of the FIA that we’ll have the discussion."
The FIA are only going to do something about front wings next year. When Vasseur was then asked about whether he is convinced there is a level playing field operating, he answered while laughing: "I told that I didn't want to speak. No, but we have to deal with it internally with the FIA."
