Max Verstappen joined the press conference prior to the Grand Prix at Zandvoort. There he was asked about the front of the Red Bull and the influence on his driving this weekend.
When asked if the front of the Red Bull will be a problem at Zandvoort, the Dutchman told the press, including Gpblog.com. “I don’t think it really is an issue. They way the tyres are working gives the cars a bit of understeer, that’s something we have to get used to."
Max also draws a comparison with his race last year at the Zandvoort circuit. "Even last year with all the high speed cornering they got very hot and you lose some grip over the lap and it’s just something you have to deal with."
Verstappen is known as a driver who prefers oversteer to understeer. The rear-end drift is reminiscent of karting, the way Verstappen started out. But he clearly has no intention of letting any understeer affect his bid for his second victory at the Zandvoort circuit.
