Max Verstappen managed to win the second free practice session of the
Belgian Grand Prix. While the Dutchman had to settle for third place earlier in the day, he was comfortably faster than
Charles Leclerc a few hours later.
The reigning world champion's time was over eight tenths better than the Monegasque's, who finished in second place.
Lando Norris set the third fastest time, while
Lance Stroll and
Carlos Sainz took fourth and fifth respectively.
Sergio Perez disappointed on behalf of
Red Bull Racing. The Mexican only just managed to finish in the top ten. With a time of 1:47:346 he had to put up with no fewer than nine drivers, meaning there is still plenty of work for him to do.
Lewis Hamilton did well to finish sixth and managed to keep eighth-placed
George Russell behind him. The much-discussed
Daniel Ricciardo could also be satisfied with a ninth position.
