Pierre Gasly started the free practice for the
Russian Grand Prix very well, but in the race the weather conditions prevented him from scoring any points. The Frenchman is disappointed with his team.
In conversation with
Motorsport.com he is harsh with his judgement.
"I think we just do too many mistakes," Gasly states.
"And I think for all of us, we need to just work more and understand how to capitalise on such opportunities. It's a tough one to take, because there was clearly better to do. But hopefully it can be good for the rest of the year."AlphaTauri's disappointing race was partly due to heavy rainfall on the track. "You need to rely on what the conditions are, how it's gonna get, and I was told that it was gonna stay stable as it was. And unfortunately, it wasn't the case. We need to revise."
Gasly didn't see Red Bull dream come true
Gasly is enjoying an excellent season at AlphaTauri. The French driver had hopes that
Red Bull Racing wanted to give him another chance alongside
Max Verstappen, but the Austrian formation decided to continue with Sergio Pérez for longer.
