AlphaTauri had a mediocre weekend at Suzuka, but Yuki Tsunoda and
Pierre Gasly agree that there is a big plus from the
Japanese Grand Prix:
Max Verstappen's second world title.
Tsunoda expressed his delight that Japanese fans got the chance to see Verstappen become World Champion after a chaotic Sunday. Gasly agreed with his teammate's words and underlined how important the weekend was for
Red Bull Racing and Honda.
Gasly happy for Verstappen
Like his teammate, Gasly also had a weekend to forget, although it is likely to stay with him for some time - in a negative sense. The Frenchman was classified last after a penalty for speeding during the red flag, just after he got the scare of his life when he encountered a tractor on the track.
Still, the AlphaTauri driver also takes positives from the weekend.
"It's great that Max has been able to win the championship. He has been incredible, winning consistently, and has always been performing at his best and has got everything to be world champion. A massive congrats to him, to Red Bull and to Honda. It’s extra special to win the title here in Suzuka, so I’m really happy for them," Gasly's words of praise resound at
