Gerhard Berger has compared
Max Verstappen to one very special former F1 driver...Aryton Senna. Berger was once Senna's team-mate and in the
Formula 1 cafe on Friday night, he seemed certain that Max Verstappen will one day become World Champion.
"Max reminds me a lot of Senna, especially his aggressiveness that he shows during races," Berger said.
"Just as Senna did in his early days, that occasionally caused mistakes, but at the end of the day, all is well because he will become a champion. I have no doubt about that."
Verstappen has won one race this season and has made four appearances inside the top three. Berger went on to confirm he spotted the Dutchman's talents in Formula 3 and karting a few years back.
"I also saw him riding in Formula 3 and karting, and it was said that he had the best bike. Nonsense, he was just the only one who really dared to kick the accelerator."
