The pressure on Antonio Giovinazzi is growing as he struggles to keep up in the pinnacle of motorsport. With Mick Schumacher, Callum Ilott and Robert Shartzman, there is quite a bit of Ferrari talent ready to replace him in Formula 2.

Who does Ferrari prefer?

In 2017 Giovinazzi got his first chance in F1 as a replacement for the injured Pascal Wehrlein. At Sauber, number two in the GP2 championship in Australia drove a strong race, but all that was forgotten after three crashes in China. His chances seemed lost, but then Ferrari still found a seat for him.
For 2021, however, Ferrari will have to choose between different juniors. Giovinazzi started the season strong, but the crash at Spa-Francorchamps showed again that he is struggling under pressure. That's how he went off last year in the last lap in Belgium. Despite all the competition, Giovinazzi is not uncertain about his place.

Giovinazzi is not worried

''I have to go on like this and make sure I get a lot of points for the team. If I do that then no one will be able to take my place next season. We'll see what happens, but I know exactly what I have to do to be fast and consistent," said the Alfa Romeo driver, who has already put his crash at Spa behind him.
''I'm happy to be here in Italy, because I want to forget the moment as soon as possible and get a good result with the team. I'm here in F1 because of my results and my talent," concluded Giovinazzi according to Motorsport-Total.com.
