Isack Hadjar (20) will get the chance to become
Yuki Tsunoda 's teammate at
Red Bull Racing's training team, filling up the last vacant seat left on the grid prior to the start of the 2025 Formula One season.
The French Algerian lost the title to star rookie Gabriel Bortoleto on the last race of the year in Abu Dhabi, after he stalled his F2 car at the start, meaning he couldn't even get a chance to fight for the championship, thus foregoing the crown to the Brazilian.
However, Red Bull is still confident that Hadjar can get the job done in
F1.
Helmut Marko is currently in Italy at Racing Bulls' factory to dot the i's on the Red Bull junior talent. The length of Hadjar's contract with
Visa Cash App RB is not yet known. The deal is expected to be announced shortly.
Five rookies in Formula 1 by 2025
Adding Hadjar's name to the mix will bring the number of rookies in 2025 to five. Earlier, it was announced that Bortoleto (Sauber), Jack Doohan (Alpine), Oliver Bearman and Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes) will start their first full season in the premier class of motorsport.
