For weeks, it was as quiet as a mouse. No one knew where Lewis Hamilton had been since the race in Abu Dhabi. On social media he had not appeared. Until tonight!
Hamilton gives a sign of life for the first time. He wrote: 'I was gone. Now I'm back!'
Since the dramatic season finale for Hamilton in Abu Dhabi, Hamilton has not been heard from. The Brit took a break from social media and seemed to have disappeared from the face of the earth. It was even doubted whether Hamilton would continue in Formula 1. With his short message on Twitter and Instagram, he does not provide any clarity about this, but it is a first signal that he is again looking forward to the future.
Most followers in the F1 paddock assume that Hamilton will be behind the wheel of the Mercedes this season. This year he will be aiming to conquer his eighth world title.

My message is to all the mad max ceiling fans Lewis have won 7 titles with no help from FIA and the reason why mad max fans can rest is that they all watch the race in ABU Dabi and knew max was was destroyed on the day so please max fans stop hating the GOAT DRIVER LEWIS HAMILTON
Hahaha "no help from FIA" ?? Good one! I mean the championship wouldn't even have been close at the end if FIA had not helped Hami! The guy got exposed by Russell just like he was by Rosberg before that. Goat? BWAHAHA!
Conquer his 8 title? :)) that's a wet dream for lucy but he has no chance... he was better at modelling.. but we can see his clown outfit once more, that is the good part :))
Many hamilton fans will be pleased he has finally gotten out of bed after 2 months. I hope his head has cleared from all the demons of 2021 and gets back to entertaining us like Lewie only knows how. I'm in stitches just thinking about it.
Owh no...drama queen is back! But hey, I hope you're driving this year Lewis, ifs just more fun having the best drivers on the grid
Look at me, look at me! And we, the dumb masses indeed look at him ? not because we love him (at least the majority) but because this is, after all, very, very entertaining and a great escape from the real world! Welcome back... I guess?
Take a closer look, a big proportion are not very kind to his post. I look at all the driver's instagrams but none compare to Lewis for pure comedy entertainment. Has me in stitches just about every time. Missed it. In this pic he looks like he's stuck between a rock and a hard place.
I'm hoping he is that stupid he does come back and have Max deliver more driving lessons on him let alone George. Cant wait.
Cracks and signs of weakness show when you are for so long upset by last seasons outcome.
New season....elbows out from day 1....unlike 2021 when he drove to avoid crashes all 2nd half in order to avoid getting crashed out to dnfs....its a new season....let's go lewis
To drive in a way not to avoid crashes and still collect the necessary points in the WDC requires a skill, Hamilton never had to develop. It will be very important if one or two teams will be able to deliver a 2022 car capable to challenge MB.
Major shock indeed. Vegaboy finally quit his secret holiday job at McDonald's
I said weeks ago he was going nowhere. The silence has been a great move. Imagine the first interview in 2022. I think Lewis should simply not answer any 2021 related questions and just blank all the medias questions about it. Ultimate mindfk.
Yup. Media folks like Brundle, Hill, Coulthard, DiResta, Palmer, Karun will face a frosty Lewis.Hamilton.
It's going to be interesting to hear what Lewis will say. Will he be silent or will he tell the press what he think they want to hear. I don't think he's going to be 100% transparent with them. He'll keep that to himself and for obvious good reasons.
Very interesting indeed. Liberty Media got their ‘media frenzy” wish with off-season still buzzing. But many media outlets crossed the line. Lewis should blow them off, smile, laugh and say directly, “Come on man. I was on holiday, having fun in America, working on projects and making a movie with Brad Pitt….next question ???!”
Masi and Lewis has kept that buzz going not Max. All this has taken the light away from Max's gifted title (no I won't let up on that :)) Yes that's exactly what he should say :) He was partying and enjoying life - also getting Sky on board his Mission44 charitable foundation to help others (instead of playing a computer game). :D The man's a legend in and out of the sport. Using his status to help others. Remember Ali's speech at the end of that Coldplay song? An all too familiar tone.
"I said weeks ago he was going nowhere." Yeah it's not like 90% of the F1 community said/ thought the same.
I like being part of the crowd. Let me bask in my moment. :) BTW, you have no idea what 90% of the F1 community said or thought. Why is it when people quote stats it's either 100%, 99%, 90%, 10% or 1% only that gets used over and over as if people think they are the only numbers? 90% gets way overused as a placeholder for people who can't factually say 'all'. Try words or phrases like 'most' or 'vast majority' etc. Much better that trying to make people think you've done a worldwide survey. :)
Yes it was a great PR stunt from an image obsessed individual
Guess what guys, Hamilton is BACK!!! Who could have guessed that? Exactly, nobody! Im here with my buddies Shaka, Vegan and StateofPlay. You should see us. There's not a single try eye here, tears are literally falling.
Stop that foolishness. Your comments are debunked.eg two different people having F1 fun elsewhere with a better and larger audience. See Alex https://www.planetf1.com/news/nico-rosberg-responds-lewis-hamilton-team-mate-talk/ See Shaka https://www.planetf1.com/news/martin-brundle-michael-masi-sacrificial-lamb/ But more importantly, we await Masi & his deputy posting anything. It has been 7 weeks now and not a word? Where are they? Pure Radio silence, huh.
Yes and good for them too. Better off in another site for sure. This place has been pure toxicity during the 2021 season. There's been a clean-up here but it's not quite clean yet. A few loose ends remain. Maybe a decision has been made with Masi behind closed doors. Who knows.
Having fun? Are you sure? Last time I saw these people, they were having nervous breakdowns. I was actually worried about them. There's some people who take F1 way too seriusly. After all, it's 30% show and 70% sport.
Stop the fantasy, misinformation and lying.. Masi & Nickolas are in hiding, disappeared and remain silent after Abu Dhabi Sunday 2021.No one has seen these two muppets. Not a single soul except Peter Bayer…the Director who replaced them.
MaxFan trait = “name calling” defence mechanism when losing. Cain, Your Heineken group home has poor standards.
StateofPlay is that you? He seemed also having problems with posts. He also didn't understand what driver I support, just like you. So I guess it's you then. So again all your other text goes out of window, as your foundation of story is already wrong. But welcome back state and learn my favourite driver finally. I've talked about it numerous times. It's hard to see a person not understanding simple things : )
No worries at all. More troubling FIA investigation results will follow. Like Trump fans do, your small Heineken group home will deny, throw their toys, claim fake news eg rumours, name call, rebel in anger, etc. Buckle down.
Seems you don't even know the driver I support. So I'm not gonna even read, as your 1st sentence is already 100% wrong. Seems we have another low IQ here. Welcome!
Get a grip, delusional MaxFan. So you think your 25-30 member “group home” for heavy Red Bull & Heineken drinkers…..is the real F1 world? Versus millions of Formula 1 fans based globally eg websites, forums and countless blogs.? What an ego and swelled head you got! True fanboy meltdown = failed Lewis silence obsessions, scared of Masi & Nicolas disappearance, Race Control restructure, Max losing his allies , FIA obeying Mercedes demands and 2021 WDC tainted. Masi and Nicolas are truly silent……”No No Lewis. Not our jobs. We didn’t mean too. Our fault and we are stupid. No Toto, Please help us.Please forgive us” RBR world is crashing and burning simultaneously. Absolutely hilarious.?
I'm not your Masi for you to tell "noooooo Michael nooooo" every post : ) It's free World, if you don't like something, bad for you, but I keep posting and it was not a lie. Some of these members got a ban, for having nervour breakdown here not so long ago.
Like MaxFan piranhas on a Lewis news. He received 957,000 likes via Instagram with 957:,000 comments (his USA Grand Canyon pic) as of 5 Feb 2022 @ 19:18... Please proceed with your orange army obsessions.
You got that the wrong way round. The worst anti-Hamilton trolls aren't here any more (for now at least). Hopefully that keeps up, this blog is a slightly better place without them. The only Lewis fan gone that I know of is Shaka and he deserved it for the mental breakdown he had. But even then I blame those that poked at him time and again.
That clown brought it on himself with his divisive rhetoric
Yes ! Anything derogatory towards Hamilton and you’ll be blocked by vegan warrior
Nope. Some got through the net, like you. Most of the Max trolls seem to be gone or tempered. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
FlatOut you are still on here while Lewi Shamiliton got banned, at least he had a sense of humor
A sense of humour isn't a requirement for being on here. I'm surprised you weren't part of the cull. You should have been. With people like you are around there's not much need for humour. You bring the place down rather than contribute to it being better.
no one cares + ratio + didnt ask + still second + gonna get rekt by russel in bahrain itself
1st post in 6 or 7 weeks and over 100k likes and nearly 9k replays in under 1 hour. Your right literally no- one cares ?? how many likes or replays has your post got ??
No it just proves a point to Kekvin that literally no-one cares ( about him )??
How is that even the point? He wins races anyway. 103 at last count along with 7 world titles. So yeah it helps.
I'm not claiming they are important (but they're not meaningless either), merely that they exist and would not do so in such numbers if it were Max. "On Instagram, the message soon surpassed one million likes, while on Twitter, it drew several hundred thousand likes, with the numbers steadily continuing to rise. In addition, the phrase 'He is back' became a Twitter trend, with more than 50 thousand related tweets. The hashtags #IStandWithLewisHamilton and #TeamLH44 were also pushed by his fans throughout the night." Again, not important, but just saying that Max wouldn't get this much attention if he was on social media. Don't use 'this doesn't win races' as a way to deflect from Lewis' popularity. Address the point or don't. Better that than to deflect with some unrelated statement.
Hey, I'm not the one claiming that all those likes and retweets are so important!
with the fastest car... don t forget that... the muppet in the rocket we ll see this year
Well, I am not certain why you say that. His Instagram post has over 100,000 likes and climbing and you are at two:)
Take a closer look, a big proportion are not very kind to his post. I look at all the driver's instagrams but none compare to Lewis for pure comedy entertainment. Has me in stitches just about every time. Missed it.
Actually, over 300,000 likes now. And even if some of the comments are anti-Hamilton you cannot say nobody cares, which is the statement I responded to. People care very much about him. Some love him, some hate him, and some, like me, care only for the talent of the drivers. But to say nobody cares is just ludicrous.
No one cares? You probably didn't see the number of posts on him while he had switched off, in fact, there were much much more articles on him than all others combined, taking out probably Masi. Are you blind or something?
He's not blind Vish he's just part of the orange deluded army?
I won't even call him part of that orange army unless he is Dutch. Lots of so called Max fans are Lewis haters well before Max became a match for Lewis, they only are fans because at last someone has been able to match and beat Lewis, but with a huge influence from Masi
Why change your 1st comment ?Who's gonna get rekt by russel?? The boy wonder MV by any chance ?
What a great thought provoking contribution. If this is your best, I question your schooling.
If he is the big champion he wil ask his fans to let I rest and look to the future
And the Max trolls here didn't? Accusing Hamilton of trying to murder Verstappen in Silverstone? Give me a break. The Max 'fans' in here have been way more extremist and immature.
And how about the lewis extremists who put dead threats on latifi, masi and masini a guy who had nothing to do with F1
Those achievements MUST come by way of fair competition and fair racing. Hard yes, but fair. Mistakes happen of course but it must be kept sporting. I don't believe Max is sporting. He showed that several times in 2021. Styles is one thing but pushing people off track and brake checking them doesn't count as a 'style'. Don't even get me started on what he did in Monza :) Even ruthless is fine as you can still be ruthless but play by the rules. Max has gone beyond the rulebook a few times as he did early in his career. In reality, he'd have lost the championship if he's raced fairly throughout which I why I believe Max can't beat Lewis is a clean and fair fight. And I only believe that because he hasn't demonstrated otherwise. My respect for Max went out of the window for good after Monza. I can't help that not change it.
Can understand where you are coming from, Flatout, but I would phrase it differently. A driver earns our respect by his consistent achievement at the highest level and his commitment to even the lowliest of his stable colleagues and fans. That's all F series drivers in my eyes. We can differ on our views about styles of driving and criticise a driver for being ruthless or even dangerous, but always respectfully
Agreed with your post with one small exception. :) Disrespect is earned when a driver deliberately tries to collide with or crash into a fellow competitor - or push him off the track. I can't respect a driver for that and Max, in my eyes, is guilty of all of the above and that's just in 2021.
I agree with your opening comment Frans. He's back (I never thought he had gone) and is going to race. I have been a Lewis fan since he first appeared on the scene, but from a pure racing point of view, I was able to enjoy Perez's determined defensive racing and Max's resolution into 'turn 5'. That is called respect, something the trollers need to learn. My appreciation stops when drivers are ridiculed and called names. No disrespect should be shown to any driver
The death threats are pathetic no matter who they come from. Sad and pathetic. Are you expecting me to stand by those people? That said, if Max had lost to Lewis in that same scenario, are you going to suggest that not one extremist Max fan would post a death threat to either Latifi or Masi? There are idiots on both sides here. The sooner people stop making excuses for their side and just blame the other, the better.
Try to focus... and insert something that has reference to what is being discussed.
Why do you have to say 'hamilton whiners'? It's this crap that just makes you not be taken seriously. You come across as a joke most of the time and even though your aim here is to troll an bait, even trolls don't want to think they are seen as a joke. The Latifi threats were pathetic no matter who they came from. Max 'whiners' would have done the same if the roles were reversed. Equally as pathetic.
Where do you get off saying Hamilton fans are not 'normal'? Do you think all the Max fans are?? Whilst I appreciate that you see through stevesyd's usual BS, this 'large portion are not' nonsense isn't helping your side of the argument.
As I have already written, LH is a normal being, while it seems that a large portion of his fans are not. If you read the title of the article, better make an effort and read the whole thing, so you find out what the topic is and what truth is being talked about. Well, there is no other truth.
There is THE truth and your version of what you think is the truth. The two are wildly different.
Haha you really believe that? ? I think both sides have been on the offensive, but Lewis fans not less than Max' fans. You heard Lewis fans, including yourself, after Monza, SA and Abu Dhabi? ?
The fans don't have to listen. You can always go somewhere else if you're sick of listening to people wonder why only certain others think it's ok for the FIA to break it's own rules. It may come back to bite them one day, then the shoe will be on the other foot. In fact it has been, many times. Every time Max fans perceive that an FIA decision has favoured Mercedes (in other words gone against them) they are the first ones to shout about the FIA being in bed with Mercedes. We've heard it all throughout 2021 and before that. And now it's the Mercedes side of the fence that is complaining, suddenly it's all ok and Masi was an angel.
If you ever noticed my comments you would have seen I was against masi and especially the stewards. I want him and those stewards gone. But not because Mercedes wants it.
So why do you want Masi gone? And why the stewards? Just because a decision doesn't go the way you want, isn't a great reason to want people gone. But for FIA staff that don't follow the rules or protocols, yes, good reason. They should be weeded out. Will Masi's future decisions as Race Directer also be questioned now (assuming he remains in the role)? I think they might be and not just by Mercedes or Red Bull. Masi's position, credibility and trustworthiness just isn't where it should be or where the FIA needs it to be. Abu Dhabi was not his first time, he's messed up before where other teams have found cause for complaint. This is why I don't think his position as RD is tenable any more. If the FIA keep him on as RD, it's not going to look good for them. So they're going to need one hell of a good reason for doing so. As for the stewards, well they are different people with each race (more or less). All we need from stewards decisions are those that are objective, unbiased (same thing) and most of all consistent. Not only that but a decision ONLY taken when all the relevant evidence is available. I say that because in Brazil, when Max pushed Lewis (and himself) off the track (then lied about it afterwards), he should have been given a penalty. There is a clear rule about forcing another driver off. Max got away with it every time in 2021 but Brazil was the most stark. But the stewards took their stupid 'no investigation necessary' decision without seeing the on-board footage of Max and how he barely made an attempt to turn into the corner. Once this footage was available, I think it was Masi who said that if this footage was available at the time, he felt sure the stewards decision would have been different. How can a driver push someone off that wide and then get a 'no investigation necessary', then impose a deleted lap time in quali because a rear tyre went over a white line by 1cm. I dunno. I just find some of it baffling. There were a lot of f-ups in 2021 from the stewards and Masi and ALL of that has to go away for 2022.
Yeah only there where no rules broken, you crybaby's only look at the rules that suite you . Please point out where it is written that Masi did something that wasn't allowed.
Well well somone from the Netherlands again? Oh well there's no way you'd be biased then. Tell me, if the roles were reversed and Lewis stole the title off Max in the last lap because of what Masi did, would your opinion still be the same? Once you've answered that question you'll know whether you are arguing honestly here or not. We 'crybabies' only look at the rules that were manipulated on a whim. Instead, why don't you show me the rules that shows it's ok to only let a few cars unlap themselves instead of all of them. Then show me where it say the Safety Car CAN come in on that very same lap. You want answers? Don't expect me to do your homework for you.
I'm biased against trolls. That's my biggest bias here. There is no rule that allows only a cherry picked cars to unlap themselves. There is no selection process. There is no rule that allows the SC to pit on the same lap as the one where cars were told to unlap. Now, it's your turn. Refute what I said and show me the rules that show I'm wrong. Oh and while you're off doing that, I'll ask you again... If the roles had been reversed and Max was comfortably leading the race after beating Lewis off the line and Masi's bad calls under the SC allowed Lewis to pass and win, thus stealing the title off Max who would have earned that win in Abu Dhabi, would you still be saying Masi acted correctly and no rules were broken? You conveniently failed to answer this for some strange reason. So be honest with yourself and when you have that answer you might understand things better.
Yeah Dutchie here and biased for shure i am . So are you , biased that is. You claim broken rules, so you show me.
