Lewis Hamilton must be laughing at all the drama surrounding
Red Bull Racing in the final weeks of 2022. The Brit compares it to a Kardashian show and even seems to hint at rumours surrounding
Max Verstappen and his family.
For
Red Bull Racing, the final weeks of the
F1 season were particularly busy. The drivers' and constructors' world championships were clinched, but meanwhile, it also had to deal with a budget cap riot and a notable incident between Verstappen and
Sergio Perez in Brazil.
Hamilton laughs at 'drama'
In an interview with
Channel 4 Abu Dhabi, the presenter asks Hamilton how he views all this 'drama' in
Formula 1. "
I mean it fells a bit like a Kardashian’s show happening. It’s pretty hilarious. Some of the stuff I’ve of in the past few days is so entertaining," said a smiling Hamilton.
When asked for an example, Hamilton hesitates but comes up with a hint anyway. ''I can’t say, somebody’s mother posting something, pretty interesting stuff just going on. I’m sure it’ll all be on Netflix, it’s going to be great."
With the comment about a mother allegedly posting something online, Hamilton seems to be hinting at Sophie Kumpen's deleted post. Max's mother allegedly lashed out at
Sergio Perez online after the Brazilian GP, only to delete that post again. Meanwhile, though, people had already taken a screenshot of it, making it possible to find the message.
