Formula 1 drivers can prepare themselves for a scorching Grand Prix in Saudi Arabia this weekend, as the temperature will be a few degrees higher than at the last GP in Bahrain.

At the beginning of the Formula 1 season, the F1 circus travels to circuits in the Middle East. This is done early in the season because temperatures are more suitable than in Europe during March and April. In the Middle East, rain showers occur very rarely, and this year's GP in Saudi Arabia is no different.

Warm temperatures in Jeddah

According to Weather.com, the chance of rain throughout the weekend is zero per cent. The temperature, however, is a lot higher. Whereas in Bahrain, the temperature was around 25 degrees over the weekend, it will be a maximum of 31 degrees in Jeddah next weekend. Since driving will happen later in the day, the temperature will have dropped somewhat by then.

The higher temperature will, mainly, be a good test for Pirelli's new tyres. The Italian tyre manufacturer is bringing C2 through C4 for the upcoming GP, and thus one softer set than in Bahrain. However, the Jeddah Corniche Circuit is softer for the tyres than the circuit in Bahrain.
