Several Formula 1 teams suffered from porpoising at the start of the season, which led the FIA to amend the guidelines. However, Christian Horner does not consider this to be entirely justified and wants to reiterate his criticism of the technical guidelines in the next talks.
Despite last season's title battle between Red Bull Racing and Mercedes, this year the Austrian team managed to build a car that would once again allow them to fight for the world title. The problems with porpoising had also been solved quickly.
However, this is less the case with other teams. Mercedes' problems have decreased over time but the team is still struggling with the car. However, Horner believes that the FIA should not interfere and that it is therefore Mercedes' responsibility.
"The technical directive is focused on the porpoising and bouncing, which only certain cars have struggled with," Horner told Sky Sports. "So, it's due for further discussion in the technical working group, which is the correct forum for it."
