If the first two practice sessions of the 2022 season are anything to go by, then Red Bull and
Ferrari seem to be in a class of their own. Red Bull's
Christian Horner seemed to be positive about the fact, he spoke to
Sky Sports.
After years away from the top of
Formula 1, with their last win in 2019, Ferrari appear to be back. They have been the talk of testing and may be the talk of the season with arguably the best driver-lineup in the sport, as well as a car finally able to be worthy of its pilots. For Red Bull-man Christian Horner, this doesn't appear tto be a worry.
"We don't mind who the competitors are, and its nice to see Ferrari back to being competitive. They are a giant that have been quiet for all these years. They started very early on this project and have come out with a good car." Horner spoke to Sky Sports
Horner confident despite last year's title focus
If Ferrari are everything that they seem to be, then this could be another tight championship for Red Bull, who barely managed to snatch the title away from
Lewis Hamilton in 2021. But the intensity of last year hasn't
"After the intensity of last year, we have managed to hit the track running with a decent package that we can develop and evolve through the season." Touted the Red-Bull man.
However, winning the championship last season has become a massive point of inspiration and motivation for the team.
"Seeing the number 1 back on the car has brought a massive motivation to the team. It's been seven years since we had it and the motivation to keep it is there." Horner stated.
