Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has said that Daniel Ricciardo will stay at the team if the team can provide him with a car that wins races.

Ricciardo's expiring deal is currently the talk of the town after the Aussie performed incredibly well to win the Chinese Grand Prix last weekend, putting on a show for the fans as he passed car after car.

However, the Aussie has stated that if the Red Bull can't win consistently, or at least put Ricciardo in a position to win consistently, he will explore other options when his contract expires at the end of the year. He has made this very clear.

Horner thinks that the solution is simple; Red Bull need a winning car.

"I think Daniel’s happy in the [Red Bull] environment," he said on the official Formula One website.

"If we can give him a car like we did [in China], why would he want to be anywhere else?

"He had the energy store failure in Bahrain, he had a turbo failure [in China], losing him important track time.

"You get to a point where you think what next but it’s a great confidence booster for him, to get this result now at this point in the year, everything is wide open.
