Charles Leclerc will start the
Italian Grand Prix in pole position after topping Saturday's qualifying session. The Italian
Ferrari fans will hope that he can convert this into a race win.
Sebastian Vettel topped the timesheet in FP3 and starts the race in 4th. Here is a breakdown of all the action from Saturday.
Qualifying
Charles Leclerc claimed pole position in what was a bizarre qualifying session. In the final minutes of Q3, drivers didn't want to leave the pits first as they wanted to get a tow from the slipstream of a car in front of them. This meant that the drivers left it too late and although they tried to go out and set another lap time, they were not able to as they ran out time!
Penalties
Nico Hulkenberg was the driver that was blamed the most for the Q3 incident but the stewards decided that he was not to blame.
Weather
Forecasts are suggesting that the rain will fall for the race at the
Italian Grand Prix. It was dry for all of Saturday's action but it is set to rain overnight and into the morning tomorrow.
When does the race start?
The race starts at 14:10 GMT.
