Jake Dennis is already 28 years old, but the Brit seems to have made his mark. Not only did Dennis cleverly capture the Formula E world title, but his first minutes in an official session in Formula 1 also stood out. Dennis was allowed to take a seat in Max Verstappen's RB19 during FP1 in Abu Dhabi. Also during the test a few days later, the FE champion was allowed to use the Red Bull Racing car.

In Formula E, Dennis achieved all he could in 2023, with wins and thus the championship. Then, with Red Bull, he experienced how good racing in Formula 1 can be. Yet Dennis is not going to try to pursue an F1 adventure in the coming years. The world champion has extended his contract with Andretti's Formula E team, until the end of 2025.

Dennis and Andretti have a good relationship

"I’m very happy with Andretti. I've been with them since I first joined Formula E when it was obviously with BMW as well. And the partnership is working really well. Michael, we have a really good relationship together. I think it just makes sense. We're happy to see where the future holds," Dennis said.

"We've got a lot of investment behind the team. A new workshop is being built over in Indianapolis. The team base in the UK in Banbury is very easy for me. I obviously live in the UK, so it makes my life a little bit easier on the simulator side. So there's a lot of positives and no real negatives. Excited to extend the contract until the end of Gen3."

It is still unclear whether Dennis will also remain with Red Bull Racing as a simulator driver.
