Lance Stroll has admitted the Paul Ricard circuit isn’t one of his favourites as he heads to France for this weekends Grand Prix. The
Formula 1 circus will return to the track after a 28-year absence.
All except four drivers on the grid will make their F1 debut in France this weekend. But Stroll last drove on the Paul Ricard track in 2016. Despite his victory in Formula 3, the
Williams driver isn’t looking forward to his return.
"I know the Paul Ricard track from when I drove in Formula 3. I had a good time there and won a race, but I have to be honest because I can’t say I like it. It is just run offs everywhere, and I am not a big fan,” said Stroll in an interview on Motorsport week.
"However, it is always interesting to go back to somewhere I have raced before and see what it is like in a Formula 1 car.”
Unfortunately for Stroll and Williams, they’re entering the sports first triple-header desperate for a performance to lift them off the bottom of the table.
