The car made its debut in 1973, driving in 80 races. It won 16 of these races and was driven by 16 different drivers.
In just its fifth race, it won a Grand Prix. The car won it's first World Championship at the 1974 US Grand Prix. By the time it retired in 1978, it was still finishing inside the top 10.

Lando Norris is currently 2nd in the F2 championship behind fellow British driver George Russel. Both drivers are pushing their way towards F1 seats next season.
