Unsurprisingly, Alonso was one of the first drivers out on track to set a timed lap and has been near the summit of the lap count board. McLaren were limited to testing yesterday due to faults and with only three testing days until the start of the season, they’re catching up on milage.
The track seems to be improving as the day progresses with all cars on track in the last 15 minutes improving on their personal bests.
Hamilton, after suggesting he was struggling to warm up the medium tyre, as elected this tyre once again. Vettel has set his personal best with the soft tyre whilst McLaren have opted to use the hyper soft tyre.
The majority of cars have often been on track at the same time, a busy afternoon of testing is expected.
