Charles Leclerc says that he is not surprising himself with his performances in this season's F1 Championship.
The Sauber driver has been linked with a move to Ferrari following his impressive performances this season.
The 20-year-old has already achieved titles in Formula 2 and GP3 on his road to Formula 1.
Speaking after the Canadian GP on Sunday, Leclerc told F1's official website:
"I'm not surprising myself, but the team is very happy and that's the main thing that matters to me. I can't believe that we are having such positive races.
"Actually that's now four or five races that we are just having amazing results race after race. So it's great but we need to keep working and keep improving like we are doing and hopefully it will continue like that."
Leclerc had lots of praise for Sauber and the work they have been doing.
"We are bringing small steps but always steps that are going in the right direction since the beginning of the season. So I think that's our strength.
Leclerc is determined to not let the success get to his head.
"They are good results, but after each race, I always try to think of the negatives about myself and try to improve them.
"It's gone well for now but it's not like I feel completely confident, but I'm not someone who always feels confident about themselves, so I'm always trying to improve.
