Liam Lawson has looked back on his role as a reserve driver at
Red Bull Racing and
Visa Cash App RB. The New Zealander reveals that he occasionally had to hold back his laughter when
Sergio Perez or
Daniel Ricciardo spun on the track.
On The Red Flags Podcast, Lawson is asked how he reacted when a Red Bull car struggled on the track. "I'd be there in the garage and if one spun on the track and I looked outside, I'd immediately see someone with a camera approaching. Just to get that one shot. I then tried so hard to hold back my laughter. Not even because of what was happening, but because of that cameraman," Lawson said, laughing.
"Yes, you see yourself on the screens in the garage too. Then when they zoomed in on yourself with the cameras, I just kind of waved," Lawson added.
