Kevin Magnussen is sure that his team
Haas F1 will be competitive again in Canada after a rather disappointing performance in Monaco.
Both Haas cars manned the final two places after Verstappen overtook them at the start of the Monaco-race, which is an unusual sight as Haas have been significantly better this season compared to last.
"In Montréal there are a few good places for overtaking, especially on the straights," Magnussen told F1i.com.
"Because of those, racing in Canada always gets more interesting.
"In Monaco, we've learned one or two things about the hyper softs and we're going to try our best to use that information to get as good of a performance in Canada as possible.
"Hopefully it will become a bit easier because of that."
For Magnussen, Monaco was a blip on a good season. For his teammate Romain Grosjean, it was the tenth Grand Prix in a row in which he didn't score points, a streak that dates back to October last year. Because of that, Haas has been solely dependent on Magnussen in the constructors' championship, as his nineteen points are the total tally of the American team as well.
